URGENT: Trump advisor Roger Stone calls Matt Mackowiak "the best man for the job"

Trump Confidant of 40 years endorses Mackowiak, saying "I respect him enormously."

San Antonio, TX — On a recent telephone town hall, Roger Stone endorsed Matt Mackowiak for Chair of the Texas Republican Party.

“When I look at the candidates running, and I know the dynamics of the situation, I think this is a no-brainer. I really hope the delegates to the state convention realize they have a great opportunity. It really is a selfless thing for [Matt] to step forward because there’s no money and there’s no glory, other than the satisfaction of being in the arena and helping save the country.

“Matt Mackowiak is the man for this job.

“I am very worried about the trend line of Texas…Politics is not about the past, politics is about the future. Matt and I have been friends since 2008. I respect him enormously as a professional, as a guy with sound organizational skills and sound judgment. And he’s about winning elections, and he’s been about winning elections since I met him.  

“There’s a decided lack of leadership under the current leadership of the party, you really need a top-to-bottom revitalization.

“Matt knows how to raise money, he’s already got a plan and he’s thought through how to raise money. Your state party cannot be successful without money.”
