The Next RPT Chair Must Stand With President Trump

AUSTIN, TX — This afternoon RPT Chair Candidate Matt Mackowiak demanded that Abraham George renounce his endorsement from Matt Rinaldi after it was revealed he betrayed President Donald J. Trump.

"Matt Rinaldi hates President Trump and many have known that for years. Whether it was trashing 45 in private and on Twitter as recently as a few years ago, or paying $50k for a poll showing DeSantis beating Trump in Texas by 11% in Dec. 2022 and then heavily promoting it.

“Today we learned that after he publicly announced he 'endorsed' Trump, he immediately betrayed him by privately voting for DeSantis in the March 4 primary long after DeSantis had ended his campaign. Compare that to my record at the same time: I endorsed Trump in early January after his historic and dominant wins in Iowa and New Hampshire, I recruited 90 county chairs to join me in publicly endorsing him before the March 4th primary, and I applied and was accepted to be a Trump bundler, raising $50k for today's Houston luncheon and pledging to do more.

"Abraham George has no business running for State Chair. He's never won anything or done anything substantive, but Matt Rinaldi plucked him from oblivion and pushed him for state chair to continue his disastrous reign. Without Matt Rinaldi, there is no Abraham George campaign for chair.

"Abraham George now faces a stark choice: Admit Matt Rinaldi is a documented liar and renounce his endorsement or endorse his dishonesty and attacks on President Trump.

"This shouldn't be a hard call.

"As the next RPT Chair, I will partner with the Trump campaign and the RNC to get out our vote and ensure Trump wins Texas by the largest margin possible to help our ticket."
